June 2026
Another Tremendous Show in the Books!

The PTO is proud to announce that this year’s Variety Show was a tremendous success, raising an incredible $5,381 for the Rebecca Fortney Breast Center at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

In May, student emcees, Mrs. Abell, Mrs. Slack and PTO representatives had the special opportunity to visit the Rebecca Fortney Breast Center to personally present a check with the proceeds from the show. We are honored to support the center and the important work it does for patients and families in our community.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Thank you for your generous donations and support during Teacher Appreciation Week! Your thoughtfulness and kindness helped make this week truly special for our teachers and staff. The week was full of fun events, meals, gift cards and gratitude! A big thank you to Allison Sullivan Nelson, Mrs. Slack and Mrs. Abell for all of their hard work organizing, decorating and running so many wonderful activities for our teachers!

We could not have had all of these activities and treats for our teachers without the generosity of our families and community vendors!  A big shout out to these companies who made donations for our teachers:

  • B&A Bowls
  • Pitaya
  • Thai Paradise
  • Diehl's Produce
  • Franklins Toys
  • Rise Up Coffee
  • Peaceful Petals
  • Starbucks
  • Froyo House

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We could use a few extra superheroes during lunch and recess! We’re looking for parent volunteers to help keep our students safe, active, and smiling during these busy parts of the school day.

Whether you’re handing out encouragement in the lunchroom, helping tie a shoe, cheering on a soccer game, or simply being an extra set of eyes and ears, your time makes a huge difference.

Click the button below to learn more and sign up!

Remember all volunteers must have an up-to-date background check. Information about this process can be found on the PTO and AACPS websites.
